Famous Author Visits Barwick For A World Exclusive!

Famous Author, Tom Palmer visited school today for the first public reading of his fabulous new novel! We were all enthralled as Tom read part of his new book about a group of children discovering their local history through their local football team, Leeds United! 

Tom hosted an exciting quiz - everyone who answered a question got the opportunity to take a penalty against a celebrity goalkeeper ( who knew Mr Lynn had a secret past life...). Congratulations to Jacob who won the competition and was award a prestigious golden trophy!

Tom then signed books for lots of children who could not wait to to read such classics as Roy of the Rovers, D-Day Dog and Armistice Runner!

A huge thank you to Tom and the Leeds Library Team for such an exciting afternoon!
