Our school is a community of faith where we believe, achieve and grow together; this is core to our provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. We are a caring community, whose values are built on mutual trust and respect. Our provision is therefore designed to support the way in which the members of the school can live and work together in a supportive way. We believe that Christian values are the key facilitators in managing any pupil additional need. Respect, dignity, trust and compassion are core to our policies and procedures.
At Barwick-in-Elmet Church of England Primary School, we aim to be a place "Where all God's children flourish together."
Our SEND Information Report (follow link below) gives details of our provision to children and families who have an interest in, or need for SEND provision.
Of course, should you require any additional information, please feel free to contact me or your child’s class teacher via the school office. We would be more than happy to discuss any questions you may have.

From September 2014, the Government has asked all Local Authorities in the UK to publish, in one place, information about the services and provision they expect to be available in their area for children and young people from 0 to 25 who have Special Educational Needs and/or a Disability (SEND). As part of this commitment, all schools are asked to detail their approach, resources and provision for children who may have an additional SEND need. This is known as the ‘Local Offer’. Further information about the Local Authority’s Local Offer can be found via this link.
