The Troll
This week we have been reading 'The Troll' by Julia Donaldson. On Wednesday we had a themes afternoon of activities related to the story. The children sent the afternoon accessing the different areas in our Outdoor Environment. Here are a few examples of what we did:
- Creating a Pirate Ship using wooden planks
- Walking the plank using crates and wooden planks
- Creating a cannon using old drain pipes and plastic balls
- Creating treasure chest
- Digging for treasure in the mud pit
- Ordering the size of the pirate equipment
- Creating fish pies and fishcakes in the mud kitchen
- Fishing in the water tray and identifying the number
- Creating treasure maps
