We have been having a big push on spelling this half term in preparation for the introduction of a statutory spelling test being introduced for Year 2 at the end of the Year.
By the end of year 2 the children should be spelling high frequency words correctly in all of their writing. I have attached the high frequency words for you to practice with your child at home. There is also a common exception words for Year 2 that are part of our 'No nonsense spelling' scheme that I have attached. If your child is spelling all of the Year 2 words correctly, you may wish to start the Year 3/4 list.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
