Our Pupil Governors attended a Full Governing Body Meeting this evening. The Pupil Governors presented their key priorities to the governors. Pupils passionately presented convincing cases for a school garden, a healthy tuck shop and an emotional support dog!
The school governors were not easily swayed.... They have asked for costings for the tuck shop and a case study for the support dog. They were happy to support the creation of a school garden area where pupils can relax and chill.
Year 6 visited our village war memorial this morning at 11 o'clock on the 11th day of the 11th month. Individual children read the names out of all the men who left Barwick never to return.
Year 6 read from the poem For The Fallen by Laurence Binyon
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
Mrs Evans, Mrs Gall and Mrs Sanderson were proud of the compassion and respect the children showed during our visit.
