Ash Wednesday
Tue 25 Feb 2020This morning it was wonderful to welcome Rev Bob in to school to lead our Ash Wednesday Worship. Rev Bob explained the significance of Ash Wednesday and told us about how Jesus spent time in the desert thinking deeply about his life and preparing for the events that were about to happen to him. We all thought about how we are going to reflect in Lent.
Mrs Nicholson introduced 40acts - our whole school Lent generosity challenge of 40 days, 40 reflections, 40 challenges to make a difference.

Shrove Tuesday Celebrations
Mon 24 Feb 2020To celebrate Shrove Tuesday the children took part in our annual pancake flipping event! Pancakes were flipped, flopped and tossed across the hall as children practiced their skills to race for the title of ‘Class Champion Flipper!’ Following all this excitement, the children exchanged toiletry items, brought from home, for a delicious hot pancake with a topping of their choice! The child-led CIA group (Concern in Action) researched charities across Leeds that they wanted to support. Together they decided to help St George’s Crypt who offer help to the homeless and vulnerable people across Leeds by supplying these people with packages of items they will need. Thank you for your support: together we really can make a difference.
